Time for Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks, Volume 11

Black-Eyed Susan
Oh, what a beautiful morning!  Oh, what a beautiful day!  It's spring & what could be better -- unless it's a new issue of Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks!  We are up to Volume 11 & 1100 total blocks! Can you believe it!

Again, we are excited to have a block to show you - Black-Eyed Susan! You'll find it on page 33 with some awesome Andover Fabrics by Jo Morton.  I wouldn't say this is a block for beginners, but it is worth the extra effort to give it a try.

The flowers are wool & appliqued by machine; however, you gals who like to do the wool handwork could stitch the black-eyed susan very easily.  I like how the mottled look of the orange wool gives the block added depth.

I also think that you could do the center flower with a raggedy frayed edge & it would be a fantastic look; maybe do a whole quilt in flannels & fray out all the susans!

Are you ready for some prizes??  Well, Quiltmaker's will send out a free copy to a winner simply by making a comment here today.  Their copy will come to the winner within a few weeks.  Be sure & share your email address here so I can contact you for your mailing address.

I am also giving free copies to two readers who like my facebook page Clothesline Quilts today.  Leave a comment  & let me know that you liked my page & then you will have to share your email address here so I can contact you for your mailing address.

And don't forget to visit all the amazing designers on the tour through Friday & follow directions for prizes & freebies!  Have fun!
